Feature Scaling Decarbonization Through Partnerships
Reuters Energy Transition Europe 2021 discussion with SLB Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer Dr. Katharina Beumelburg.
In 2021, we announced our comprehensive 2050 net-zero commitment, inclusive of scope 3 emissions—a first for the energy services sector. We also announced the launch of our Transition Technologiesཧ portfolio to address sustainability challenges and opportunities across the oil and gas industry value chain.
The portfolio comprises a select group of products and services that quantifiably reduce our customers’ greenhouse gas emissions while continuing to drive high performance, reliability, and efficiency. Supported by an industry-leading impact quantification framework, the portfolio is set to grow as we embed sustainability further into our R&D processes. It currently addresses five key themes— reduce or eliminate flaring, minimize well construction CO2 footprint, address methane emissions, full field development solutions, and electrification of infrastructure.SLB End-to-end Emissions Solutions🃏 (SEES) leverages an extensive selection of services and cutting-edge technologies to provide customers with robust and scalable solutions for measuring, monitoring, reporting, and ultimately eliminating methane and flaring emissions from their operations—quickly and effectively. The broad range of measurement technologies constitutes the most comprehensive and flexible emissions reduction offering in the market today.
